Over 80 million photos are uploaded to Instagram every single day.
There are over 400 million users worldwide, and a quarter of those users are from the U.S. A recent report from Instagram has revealed exactly what American’s are taking photos of.
From the obvious landmarks like the White House to the more obscure, here are the most Instagrammed spots in every state and the runners up that almost made the cut.
Alabama: 1. The University of Alabama
The University of Alabama wasn’t the only university in the running, Auburn University came second in the runnings for most instagrammed location in the state.
Alaska: Denali National Park and Preserve
It’s not hard to see why Denali National Park and Reserve made it to the top of the list – the views are absolutely breathtaking. A second place was given to Mendenhall Glacier which offers another snowy mountainous landscape.
Arizona: Grand Canyon
Of course the Grand Canyon was going to make it as the most picturesque place in Arizona. People travel from all over the world to snap pictures of it’s iconic red rock. A close second was Hoover Dam.
Arkansas: University of Arkansas
The leafy Instagram’s of the University of Arkansas make it easy to see why it makes the state’s top spot. The Donald W. Reynolds Razorback Stadium came second.
The happiest place on earth takes the crown in California, closely followed by Santa Monica Pier.
