NFL legend Tim Tebow often goes above and beyond when it comes to making other people feel special.
So when a young girl who suffers from life-changing disabilities asked him to prom, he knew he had to do something to make it the best night of her life.
She was already a huge admirer of the football star, but what he was about to do for her would make her his number one fan.
One of America’s biggest sports personalities
Tim Tebow is one of the biggest faces of sport in the U.S. After finding his talent for American football in high school, the quarterback was drafted to the Denver Broncos in 2010. This was just the start of his successful career in the NFL, going on to play for the New England Patriots and the Philadelphia Eagles. He is now a professional baseball outfielder for New York Mets. But aside from his skills on the field, Tebow is known for giving to charities and helping those in need.
The ‘Tebowing’ move
During his football career, Tim earned himself several accolades including the Heisman Trophy in 2007, an award given to the best performing college football player in America. Even though he swapped football for baseball in 2015, his trademark ‘Tebowing’ move is still imitated in the NFL to this day.
His work in the Philippines
Besides his impressive sporting talent, Tim is a dedicated philanthropist. His family ancestry links back to the Philippines, so this has always been a country he’s felt passionate about. His parents have both worked as missionaries in the Southeast Asian country. While Tim was still in college, he began participating in charity work to help those less fortunate, even helping to set up a foundation alongside his studies to aid vulnerable people living in the Philippines and beyond.
