Amanda Bynes burst onto our screens in the late 90s with many tipping her to be the next major child star.
Unfortunately for her, her story took a totally different course and the pressure of fame grew too much for the young celebrity. Just like Britney and Lindsay before her, Amanda had her own personal breakdown in the late 00’s.
Now in 2017, she’s back and it seems she’s out of the other side, but what really happened during those years? From relationships with Channing Tatum and Seth MacFarlane to setting fire to a stranger’s driveway, we take a look at the life of Amanda Bynes.
Most people will remember Amanda Bynes as the girl in Nickelodeon show ‘The Amanda Show’ which ran between 1999-2002. The show received huge plaudits and won her many awards in the children’s TV scene.
Amanda actually started working with Nickelodeon on the live-action sketch comedy show All That in 1996, also appearing on Figure It Out and Blue’s Clues before getting her own spinoff which became The Amanda Show.
After her success on TV, Amanda started to get jobs on the big screen, with the 2002 film Big Fat Liar being her first major film. She went on to star in What a Girl Wants, Love Wrecked, Charlotte’s Web 2 and She’s The Man, in which she met Channing Tatum professionally for the first time.
